Tucson Wedding Photographer: New Beginnings and Beautiful Desert Weddings Ahead
I have some big news! I’m moving to Tucson, Arizona and will start taking inquiries in February 2026. It has been quite a whirlwind lately. Both literally, with gathering moving boxes, and figuratively, coming to terms with the fact that I’m leaving Idaho. I wanted to go over all my plans in this blog post, whether you’re a newly engaged couple looking for an Arizona Wedding Photographer, past client, or you’re a long time fan of my work, this is for you.

And… who are you?
Now if you don’t know me, let me give you a quick run-down on who I am and what I offer. My name’s Kaylee (LaShay’s my middle name) and I do all things couple. Engagements, anniversary, proposal, weddings, elopements, I do them all. I have a bachelors in Photography and I’ve been a wedding photographer full-time for five years. If you want to know more about me, check my about me page. Two of the biggest things that my clients love most about me is that there is no cap on delivered photos (yes, you’ll get every photo that turns out) and I offer a la carte pricing. Eloping and only need an hour? You got it. Need three and a half hours of wedding coverage? No problem. You can build your own package.
But I believe that the best thing about me is, of course, my work. Check out my portfolio or my Instagram to see my photos. If you’re looking for a timeless romantic style to tell your love story, you’re going to love my work.

My plans as a new Arizona Wedding Photographer
Tucson is incredibly beautiful and I’m thrilled that I’ll soon be able to be so close to so many amazing locations. That being said, I want to start doing short sessions at as many locations as possible in February so I can show what locations look like for future clients. To do this, I’m planning to run a discount for all of February for any one interested in one hour sessions or less in any location I haven’t shot at yet! I’ll have more information coming out in January. But I will say this, I’ve never once ran a promotion before (being in business in 5 years) and it’s not likely that I’ll do one again so if you’re interested, mark your calendar make sure to send an inquiry in February!
I don’t have a clear list of locations I want to shoot at yet but I’d love to do some at Windy Point, Saguaro National Park, and Agua Caliente park. If you’re a local and have a specific spot you’d like to your photos taken, I’m all ears!

In Idaho, I’d photograph in the entire state as well as Washington, Wyoming, Montana, and Utah. As of right now, I’m only planning to shoot in Arizona. This, however, doesn’t mean that I won’t be taking photoshoots in California, New Mexico, Utah, or Nevada in the future. For now I’d like to focus on photoshoots in Arizona, specifically Tucson and Phoenix. Once I’m more established as an Arizona wedding photographer, I’ll start expanding my service area. I’m not planning on taking any photoshoots in Mexico.
I’m also trying to learn Spanish! Right now, I can only say a grand total of one sentence but I’m trying. I’m hoping that by learning Spanish, I’ll be more accessible for more couples in Arizona.

A Love Letter to Idaho
This post wouldn’t be complete without mentioning how much I’ve loved Idaho. One of the best things about being a photographer is that you become aware of all the beautiful locations around you. I can say, with confidence, that southeast Idaho is absolutely stunning and diverse. If you want a sage brush desert look, it’s two minutes out. If you want a lush forest, it’s only 30 minutes away. I’ve loved being so close to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park.
I can’t mention Grand Teton without thanking every single person who booked me to take photos there. I got to photograph people from all across the country and give them the best souvenir – photos in the national park that they’ll cherish for years to come. Thank you to everyone who recommended my work on Facebook travel groups. You’ve helped my business grow more than I could ever imagine!

I also have to thank every other couple I’ve photographed in Idaho. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I’m the photographer I am now because of you. I have loved getting to know each and every one of you and having the opportunity to capture your love story. I’m going to miss Idaho’s beauty but I’m excited for those Arizonan sunsets! I hope that you follow along with my journey as I become a Tucson Arizona wedding photographer.
