Valentines is right around the corner! You know what that means: it’s time to start planning! Here’s 5 Romantic Idaho Falls date ideas to help you out.

As a cinematic wedding photographer, I specialize in the romance department! And, no huge shocker, Valentines is one of my favorite holidays. It’s a time to show your love. But that doesn’t mean just to your partners! It’s also a great time to show your love and appreciation for small, local businesses. So in this list, we’ll only be looking at true Idaho Falls date ideas; things that you can only do in IF!

5. Go to Possibly Picasso

If you know me, pottery is my love language. So no wonder this was the very first place I thought of! Possibly Picasso is where you can pick out ceramic pieces, paint them, and get beautifully glazed items back! The great part about this is that there’s two ways you can make this a gift. You could either go by yourself and surprise your sweetheart with a plate or cup you painted. Or, you can go together and make it a whole experience by painting together. Either way, it’s one of my favorite Idaho Falls date ideas.

4. Stay at Destinations Inn

You don’t have to actually leave town to feel like your on vacation. Most of the time, just packing your bags and leaving the house is enough! But if you have a hankering for traveling to Hawaii, Paris, or Rome, I know just the place. Destinations Inn is a hotel in Idaho Falls with themed rooms, all based on romantic places around the world! They have 14 location themes to choose from so you’re sure to find one you like!

3. Book a Couples Massage at Xhale Day Spa

Holidays can be stressful. But that’s one of the great things about Valentines day, you can celebrate by going to a spa together! It’s a fun yet relaxing date that’s sure to become one of your go-to Idaho Falls date ideas. A little side note, not only is the Xhale team talented, they’re also really kind. They have such a beautiful location, they’ve even let me shoot group wedding photos there!

2. Eat at Stockman’s Restaurant

A nice dinner date is a classic. Stockman’s has great menu, with some valentines day favorites such as steak and lobster, fettucine lobster, and a decadent 8 layer chocolate cake. Honestly, I’d go there for just the cake. It’s delicious!

1.  Do a Couple’s Photoshoot at LaShay and Light Wedding Photography

A shameless plug 🙂 But I genuinely think that a Valentines Day couples photoshoot is by far, one of the best Idaho Falls date ideas! Imagine this: you get dressed in your favorite outfit and have a perfect excuse to kiss and be all cutesy with your partner! It’s honestly so much fun. And that’s not even the best part. Afterwards, you get beautifully edited photos that you can keep for the rest of your life. Pro tip: Do your shoot before Valentines day, get your favorite photo printed, and write a love letter on the back of the photo. Your welcome.

Honorable Mentions: Heise Hot Springs

Grab that swimsuit crammed in the back of your closet! Winter is actually the perfect time to go to Heise Hot Springs. Although this is technically out of Idaho Falls, it’s still pretty close by. So if you don’t mind a 35 minute drive (and smelling like eggs), this is a great choice! Okay, yes, there is a sulfuric smell. If that ruins the romantic experience, I recommend Lava Hot Springs.

Conclusion:

I hope this helps you lovebirds this holiday season! But honestly, you could really do any of these Idaho Falls date ideas at any time. Let me know if you ended up doing any of these!

P.S. Did you notice that you could do all of these for one mega date? Optional, but definitely a great idea if you want to blow your partner away.

Happy Valentines day! xo, Kaylee
